Last Friday was a very busy day at Woodport. All children were involved in both Road Safety and Child Protection lessons.
The NRMA show highlighted to children the importance of always wearing correctly fitted and approved helmets. The follow-up lessons focused on children behaving sensibly when travelling in cars, ensuring that they are wearing a seat belt and being respectful of whoever is driving the car.
On this day children wore red to school in support of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. The aim of the day was to raise awareness on the importance of empowering all children to "Recognise, React and Report" if they feel something is not right. Children participated in child protection lessons throughout the day. This is a reminder for us all to regularly have conversations with our children about stranger danger.
