Everyone at our swimming carnival had a wonderful day last Friday. We congratulate all our brave and talented students on their outstanding efforts throughout the day and on their terrific team spirit and cheering on of each other. Well done! Children were kept busy all day with racing in the pool, participating in a variety of outside activities and squealing with delight on the slide. Their attitudes were commendable and we received compliments on their exemplary behaviour.
A big thank you to all our fabulous parents and carers who came to support their children or helped in a role on the day. New parents were welcomed with warmth by existing groups of parents, setting a great example to their children on inclusivity. With smiles and positivity, they set a relaxed tone for the day and supported each other and the children. It was impressive to see how nurturing our community is to all our students, with parents willing to lend a hand or comfort a nervous or breathless child.
Thanks as always to our highly professional and optimistic teaching staff who ran the carnival like a well-oiled machine through their various roles as announcers, judges, marshals, starters, recorders, time-keepers, supervisors and runners. Many did not take a break and yet stayed energetic and enthusiastic throughout the day. Thanks for your commitment and focus.
