On Wednesday 6 June, Year 6 attended the Erina High School Fun Day. The students participated in a range of interesting activities.
Drama: We started drama by warming up our voices and learning the other students' names from different schools. We played a game called ‘positions' where we had to go to different spots in the room when the teacher called out. We also played a very funny game in teams of kids. We had grey blocks and the floor was ‘lava' we had to get our whole team across the room without touching the floor (lava). Charli P & Piper M
Video Production: We used the iPads and walked around the school collecting footage of why we want to go to Erina High School. The year 7's and 8's are going to edit our footage and make it into a movie. Jordan B
Noisy Science: During this lesson we made popcorn, we put the corn kernels in a microwave and out came popcorn! Will D
STEM Challenge: This was a challenge to make a bridge made of straws hold a bottle for 10 seconds. We used sticky tape and straws and built a platform attached to towers for our bridge. We were able to hold the bottle for the full 10 seconds! Sam B
