Each year the Department of Education, along with the Central Coast Council of Parents and Citizens’ Associations, the Central Coast Aboriginal Education Consultative Group, the Central Coast Secondary Principals’ Council and the Central Coast Primary Principals’ Association hold a public ceremony to recognise and thank the many supportive members of our school communities.
This year Woodport Public School recognised and thanked Malcom and Heather Self and Lindy Watson for their outstanding contributions to our school community and their ongoing support. Malcom and Heather have been very involved grandparents for the past 11 years. For many years Malcom regularly helped the General Assistants Bob and Stuart in the grounds (even in school holidays) and Heather has regularly volunteered in the Uniform Shop, canteen, class room, at sporting and fundraising events and wherever and whenever we needed her. Lindy is our P&C President and has been a longstanding member of the P&C, filling various roles. Lindy was one of the key players in organising the change of uniform, has sat on panels when school positions have been advertised, assisted in classrooms, with sport, uniform shop and with many whole school functions and fundraisers. Malcom, Heather and Lindy have always been enthusiastic, positive, hard-working members of our school community. Last week they received a Certificate of Appreciation at a ceremony held at Kariong Mountains High School. On behalf of our school community I would like to congratulate and thank Malcom, Heather and Lindy
