Kindy Start
Our Kindy Start program is a unique opportunity designed to support a smooth transition into Kindergarten. It helps children begin their school journey with confidence and a strong foundation for success.
This eight week transition program allows children to gradually adjust to the school environment, build early relationships with teachers and peers, and become familiar with daily routines. By easing into the structure of school life, children develop a sense of security, independence, and readiness that sets them up for a confident and positive start to Kindergarten.
Our Kindy start students beginning to explore the wonderful world of science through play, observation, and hands-on discovery. At this early age, science is all about wondering , exploring and noticing the amazing things around us.
At Woodport, we believe that learning is more than just absorbing information, it's about connection, communication, and collaboration. In a real classroom setting, students engage with peers and teachers in meaningful ways that build confidence, spark curiosity, and encourage critical thinking.
Year 6 buddies play an important role in supporting kindergarten children as they begin their school journey. Through regular interactions such as guiding them in the playground or helping them learn routines, the older students help their younger buddies feel safe, included, and supported. These meaningful connections help build strong, positive relationships and foster a sense of belonging for both age groups.
