Our school band provides an opportunity for all students in years 3 to 6 to play an instrument of their choice, read music and perform in a range of settings.
All band members participate in small group lessons, band rehearsals and school performances where they enjoy playing popular music.
They also have access to annual band camps and other external performance opportunities that allow them to meet and play music with other musicians their age. Some of the events the Woodport School Band perform at include:
- Erina Learning Community
- bandfest
- banding together
- presentation days
- Fathers and Mothers day
- Woodport aged community centre
- Central Coast alternative care
- school concerts
- school assemblies
All band activities are run by teaching services Australia (TSA). TSA is a family owned company which provides band programs and instrumental tuition throughout greater Sydney and the Central Coast. Established in 1998 with a focus on primary school band tuition, TSA now provides a diverse range of instrumental tuition options in over 40 schools. Our school band caters for a wide range of instruments and the tiered training and concert band system provides for all student abilities and needs.
