Community Involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a friendly group of parents, carers and school community members who work closely with the Principal. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.

Joining the P&C is a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!

The P&C is responsible for fundraising activities for our school.

Money raised by the P&C funds school improvements, learning resources, and student activities. Examples include:

Annual events include school discos, Colour run/Olympathon, Easter & Christmas raffles, Mothers' and Fathers' day stalls, movie nights, parent gatherings

Annual General Meeting  (AGM)

The  AGM will be held on 24 November 2025 at 7:00pm at the Elanora Hotel. At this meeting we will reflect on the highlights and achievements of 2025 and vote in the new committee.

If you would like to come early and have dinner, the room is booked from 6:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Some of the events organised by the P&C

Colour Run

Students take part in a fun-filled day on the oval, featuring an inflatable obstacle course, a giant slide, and of course, plenty of colour. All money raised goes directly towards improving school resources and upgrades.

Discos

Held annually, this fun and exciting event is a wonderful opportunity for children to show off their costumes, dance moves and mix with friends in a safe, fun environment that celebrates creativity and school spirit. It's also a great chance for parents to volunteer, get involved, and connect with others in the school community.

Movie Night

P&C Movie Night is a fun and relaxed way to bring families together and enjoy a recently released film on the big screen. It's a great opportunity to connect with other families, support the school community, and share a night of entertainment in a friendly, family-focused atmosphere.

Raffles

The P&C organises raffles throughout the year, including at Easter and Christmas. We gratefully seek donations from local businesses and encourage families to support these generous sponsors. Every ticket purchased helps raise valuable funds for the school and strengthens our connection with the wider community.

Volunteer at our school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers are required to complete the Digital Declaration Form. To request access, please email the school at: woodport-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au. Our administration staff will then email you a link to complete the form online.

Once completed, you must present valid identification at the front office before beginning any volunteer work.

This process only needs to be completed once and will remain valid for the duration of your time at the school.
