Success at Zone Swimming

Zone Swimming

Twenty-six students attended the Zone swimming carnival at the Peninsula Leisure Centre in Woy Woy on Tuesday 10 March. These children were Leah C, Lacy A, Layla F, Eva B, Leilani S, Sophie W, Charlee C, Isabella B, Charlotte S, Zoe S, Ciarn S, Mia F, Gertie R, Caden M, Hayden D, Jaxson S, Ralph B, Charlie V, Nate D, Harrison P, Nate L, Toby F, Edan S, Ryan S, Owen N and Ashton B.

All swimmers gave their best effort in their events and we are very proud of their excellent sportsmanship, humility and positive attitudes.

Our school finished in 3rd place overall, with two students breaking records. Jaxon S broke the 9 years boys 50 metre freestyle and Leilani S broke the record in the 50 metre backstroke and was also presented with the age champion award. This is a sensational achievement and Woodport congratulates you and all of their students for their outstanding performances.

Thank you to all the parents for transporting their children on the day and cheering on the swimmers. A big thank you to Serena Smith who once again acted as our Team Manager and looked after all our swimmers and their needs. Following is a list of students and the events they will compete in at the Sydney North carnival if it is rescheduled.
