Welcome to 2B 2024 with Mrs Blanch and Mrs Rabbetts
We have been thoroughly impressed by how quickly 2B settled into the class routines and expectations. It has been a fantastic time getting to know the class and how to best support them through their learning. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us on the Sentral App.
Sports Day - Sports Day is Wednesday and Friday each week. It is important that students have appropriate footwear, water bottle and their hat.
Library Day – 2B have their Library day with Mrs Ireland every Monday. In order to borrow the children need to have a Library bag to protect the books during transportation.
Music Day – Mrs Lawson will take 2B for Music on a Thursday. This program runs during the first semester. In Terms 3 and 4 the students will participate in technology lessons during this time.
Fruit Break - Each morning we have fruit break around 10am. Please include a piece of fresh fruit or vegetables that is easy to eat in your child’s lunch box each day. Fruit break should only take 5-10 minutes.
Homework – Homework is distributed each Monday. This will include a spelling activity, and Basic Maths Facts. A home reader will come home on a Thursday or Friday after reading groups and must be returned each day. Please read it and then put it back in the bag otherwise they won’t have a book to read during groups. Children are encouraged to read each night for 15 minutes.
Parent Helpers – Parent helpers are an integral part of school life. If you are able to help this would be greatly appreciated. Send a message through on the Sentral APP letting us know your availability, it does not need to be a weekly commitment.
Assembly – Stage 1 will be having their assembly fortnightly (even weeks) on a Wednesday after lunch.
Parent Communication - We believe that communication between parents and their child’s teacher is very important. Should you have any queries regarding your child, please contact the office via phone or send us a request on the Sentral App. As we are very busy throughout the school day teaching, attending meetings and other duties we may take 24 - 48 hours to respond. Please call the office for any urgent matters.
